Structural psychology shows how our psyche was built from successive root events during the birth process (first hours of life), the attachment period (two first years), the detachment period (two to five years) and to a less extent the grammar years. It points also a needed profound transformation during adolescence which today exist only among primitive people, the occidentalised ones having lost this principle.

All root functions such as vitality, safety, and independance are implemented through strong interaction (imprints) with the mother at first, the family and close group subsequently, and the school and society much later.

When the outer influence does not meet the natural requirements of the calling psyche, a disaster sets on, with consequences reaching from heavy neurosis to psychosis and even autism. Structural theory is then able to give tools to reactivate the detrimental events, work them through, and rebuilt the instinctual reflexes, the root functions of the psyche. A psychic reconstruction can thus be envisaged with the help of adequate methods, and produces good and stable outcomes.
